RACHEL KSENYAK

DIRECTOR

Rachel is a Director based in Denver, CO. She brings 15+ years of experience in education reform, specializing in charter school authorizing, start-up, governance, human capital, and program evaluation. Prior to joining Kitamba, Rachel was the Senior Governance Coach at BoardOnTrack, the Senior Director of Talent at STRIVE Prep Charter Schools, the Director of Authorizer Development at NACSA, the Senior Director of Recruitment and Selection for the Chicago Public Schools, Office of New Schools, and an independent consultant partnering with hundreds of schools and school systems across the country. She was a founding and longstanding board member of 5280 High School in Denver, and volunteered as a middle and high school English teacher in Monteverde, Costa Rica. Rachel earned an MEd in educational leadership from the Broad Residency in Urban Education, an MA in the social sciences from the University of Chicago, and a BFA in dance from Ohio University. She loves exploring CO and the mountain west with her husband, two daughters, and their dog Murry. Rachel has spent her career promoting educational equity, access, and choice for all children, and she is thrilled to continue this work alongside her colleagues at Kitamba.
