Julia Horwitz is a Senior Consultant at Kitamba. Previously, she spent three years with Teach for America in New Orleans, teaching second through fourth grade phonics and social studies, and serving as a special education case manager. Originally from Washington, DC, Julia received her B.A. in politics and education from Bates College, where she researched the implementation of restorative discipline policies in Lewiston, Maine public schools. Julia firmly believes in the transformative impact of quality educational opportunities and is excited to build on her classroom experience to support Kitamba’s mission of advancing equitable access to high-quality education.
