Michelle McHugh is a Project Manager at Kitamba. Most recently, she served as a coach for one of MGT Education’s school turnaround projects in Tampa, Florida, where she worked directly with school administration and teachers to ensure student growth and equitable educational experiences in underserved communities. Prior to that, she was an elementary Assistant Principal in McKinney, Texas, designing and implementing schoolwide systems and structures to support effective teaching in every classroom. Michelle started her career as a fourth grade teacher, and has extensive experience working as an Instructional Coach and a curriculum writer. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky, and a Masters in Reading Education and Principal Certification from Texas Woman’s University. Michelle not only has a passion for providing high-quality education to all students but also strongly believes in the power of investing in teachers and supporting their growth as professionals.
