ERICA WILSON

CONSULTANT

Erica Wilson is a Consultant at Kitamba. She holds a B.S. in health sciences from James Madison University. Her education focuses on communication and health equity. Erica’s undergraduate experience as a Diversity Educator naturally molded into passions for diversity, equity and inclusion. Some of Erica’s defining moments of her journey in education stems from the expansion of her role as a Diversity Educator at James Madison. There, she first realized the extent of her passions and leaned into her responsibilities to not only educate students on a variety of DEI topics but also provide trainings to staff and faculty on its importance and application. This led to her previous roles in the nonprofit sector where she worked with local school districts and youth-serving community-based organizations concerning equitable reproductive health education. During this time, Erica had the opportunity to advocate for equitable work by co-leading the racial equity work group for the organization. Erica believes that to achieve an equitable education system, progressive change should be focused on the systems that are in place. Being able to work for Kitamba is an honor and she is excited to make an impact.
